We offer weekly sessions at multiple times for the entire school year — and that's without our fun trips, parent and family events!
More than a class. A once-in-a-lifetime year.
Our club is unique: it runs for the entire school year and blends educational, social and humanitarian curriculums. During his grade 6/7 year, a boy becomes proud of his heritage and takes joy in practicing it — in a fun, warm and approachable way.
The experience leaves a lasting impact of Jewish pride and inspiration long after the ceremony.

The club is just one part. We host Bar Mitzvahs right here in our synagogue and walk parents through the entire process — tutoring, Tallit & Tefillin, the ceremony, event space rental and kosher catering. One team, every detail.
Meet the Rabbi & choose a date
Each family meets with the Rabbi to plan the Bar Mitzvah year, choose a ceremony date and a suitable Torah portion. A second meeting is scheduled the month before the big day.
Join the Bar Mitzvah Club
Weekly sessions throughout the school year — plus trips, family events and celebrations. Registration must be completed before attending.
1-on-1 tutoring
Lessons with a trained Bar Mitzvah tutor, tailored to your son's level: Hebrew reading, Torah reading, speech-writing, a Mitzvah project and leading parts of the Tefillah service.
Tallit & Tefillin
Boys learn the meaning of Tefillin and how to put them on. Our office arranges a certified kosher set of Tallit and Tefillin with embroidered, personalized bags.
Hanachat Tefillin
On his 13th Hebrew birthday (or the closest weekday), your son puts on Tefillin for the first time — a meaningful milestone celebrated with the morning minyan.
The ceremony — in our synagogue
Your son is called to the Torah in our beautiful sanctuary, with a pamphlet for guests and family honours. Prefer Israel? We'll connect you with affiliate Chabad Rabbis across the country.
Event space & catering
Celebrate right here at the Chabad Israeli Centre. Our hall is available for your kiddush, luncheon or party, and we coordinate kosher catering so you don't have to.
One team, start to finish
Rabbi Benny, Bosmat and our office handle the details — scheduling, tutors, Tefillin, space and vendors — so your family can simply enjoy the milestone.
